Auntie Sheila's apple cake (v.g.)


8 oz S.R. [self raising] Flour
4 oz sug. [sugar]
4 oz hard marg. [margarine]
3 - 4 cooking apples
1 egg + milk to mix.

Chop marg. roughly into mixture of flour and sug. Peal and core apples and chop into mixture. Stir in beaten egg and add milk to make a v. stiff batter.

Pour into greased Yorkshire pud tin.

Bake 350 -- 375 [F - 175-190C] about 1 hr.

Hot w. cream / cold sliced.
